Chief Product Officer

As a Chief Product Officer at Constell, you hold a key leadership position. You will be the guiding star to our engineering team and the bright shackle between product development and management. The key focus of this role is to execute vision and strategy, while guarding and defining the roadmap of our unique and innovative software. The Chief Product Officer must demonstrate strong leadership and people management skills with experience building and managing high-performing product teams.

Responsibilities

  • Capture the product vision.
  • Understand our customers.
  • Oversee the development teams; inspire and motivate the teams, set a clear vision, foster collaboration, and empower team members to achieve their full potential.
  • Allocate engineering effort across categories (manage, plan, create, etc.).
  • Allocate engineering effort activities (new functionality, improve existing functionality, bugfix, security, availability, performance).
  • Provide actionable information to product marketing.
  • Contribute to the growth marketing strategy and implementation.
  • Implement a data strategy to measure usage in many ways that enable customer success, in product activation, and monetization.
  • Collaborate with the UX team to refine feature ideas upstream from implementation.
  • Collaborate with the leaders of our frontend and backend team on turning ideas into shipped features.
  • Maintain a transparent, up-to-date roadmap.
  • Deal with a high volume of suggestions from the CEO.
  • Push back on bad and untimely CEO ideas.
  • Collect competitive advantages and shortcomings in a structured way.
  • Talk to customers regularly and provide that connection to the rest of the company.
  • Ensure our software provides an ultimate user experience.
  • Manage the process by which ideas are transformed into detailed requirements on a prioritized backlog.
  • Craft minimum viable changes (MVC’s) to be made iteratively to our platform.

Requirements

  • Experience managing multiple teams of developers and UX designers.
  • Have a strong, articulate, and correct vision for the future of Constell and current shortcomings.
  • Articulate a clear, correct, and reproducible prioritization process.
  • Enterprise software experience.
  • SaaS experience.
  • Experience in a fast-growing company.
  • Ability to make decisions at high velocity.
  • Able to define minimum viable changes.
  • Excellent communication skills and a leadership presence with strong persuasion and influencing
    abilities; a motivator who is charismatic, action-oriented, and confident. Ability to inspire confidence in others.

Constell is a SaaS scale-up with more than 100 customers that has recently entered an exciting new stage of rebranding and product development. We provide cutting-edge event management software and services to the hospitality industry and are working on the next-generation event management software. We have a proven concept in the Netherlands and are preparing for the future. At Constell we have 8 excellent developers and 3 designers working, while for sales and customer experience we have an enthusiastic group of 6 people. The founders are working at Constell as CEO and COO. Our office is located in Amsterdam.
